10. Bookmarks

Turn my Blippi coloring pages into cute bookmarks one of two ways. First, you can have your kids color him in and cut him out, then reinforce with cardstock (and you could even add a yarn topper). Or, you could follow these instructions for making an origami bookmark that fits over the edge of the page. And then you can have your kids color in and cut out just his head, then paste it onto the bookmark.

9. Picture Frames

Personalize picture frames using second-hand or cheap ones that you can find at the dollar store or Walmart. You’ll also need shrink sheet paper for this craft; you’ll print off the Blippi figures your kids want onto the shrink sheets and have them color in just Blippi. Then they’ll cut them out, and you’ll bake the figures per your individual shrink sheet’s instructions. While that’s baking, your kids can decorate the frames with puffy paints, glitter, whatever, and however they like. Once the shrink sheets have cooled, and the paint has dried, you’re going to hot glue the figures to the frames.

8. Mini-Dry Erase Marker Board

For this craft, you’ll need picture frames that fit an 8.5 x 11” sheet of paper – or whatever size paper you’re using to print off the Blippi illustrations. You’re going to have your kids color in the entire sheet, and then you’ll place the pages inside the picture frames. You can then draw on the glass of the frame using dry-erase markers, so it’s perfect for your kids to write affirmations on or remind them of appointments or practices.

7. Stand-Up Blippi Figurines

With this activity, you can turn my Blippi illustrations into stand-up figures for cute tabletop decorations. For starters, you’ll need to choose from my Blippi coloring pages which figures you want and print them off. Then you’ll have your kids color them in and cut them out. Next, you can reinforce the figures with cardstock (but it’s not totally necessary). You need to glue toilet paper rolls (whole or half, depending on how large the figures are) to the back of the cut-outs so that they stand up.

6. Party Decorations

For a sweet Blippi-themed birthday party, you can use my illustrations as party decorations in a multitude of ways. For example, you could turn the Blippi figures into a hanging mobile, create bunting, or keep the pages whole and use them as place settings. You could also use them as food identifiers for your table’s snack spread, using different Blippi figures to identify what each item is. Finally, you could just color in the pictures, frame them and hang them up on the walls for a touch of Blippi where you need him most.

5. Cupcake Toppers

Turn Blippi into cupcake toppers in just a few steps. You’re going to shrink the illustrations down to about four or five inches and put multiples on the same page (in a word processor). Then you’ll print them off, have your kids color them in, and cut them out. Next, you’ll need glue because you’re going to paste extra-long toothpicks to the backs and then lie flat – let the figures dry completely before putting them near food! Once they’re dry, you can stick the toothpicks into your cupcakes.

4. Hair Bows

You can either fashion your own hair bows out of ribbon or buy them ready-made online or in craft stores. You’re going to print off the Blippis you want onto shrink sheet paper, have your kids color him in, and cut him out. Bake the cut-outs off per the instructions and let cool completely. Once they’re ready, you can hot glue the Blippi figures into place in the middle of the bow, and then if you made the bow yourself, hot glue the barrette to the ribbon, too.

3. Headbands

Another hair-related craft you can create is Blippi headbands. Follow the same instructions as for the hair bows, using the shrink sheets and baking them off.

2. Calendars

My Blippi illustrations would make really cute calendars! You can change the image orientation to landscape or keep it in portrait mode; either way, you’re going to take a second piece of paper and draw on the actual weeks/days. Then you’ll have your kids color in the picture and take a hole punch at the bottom of the image and the top of the weeks/days page. Make sure the holes are lined up because you’re going to either tie them together using yarn, ribbon or even twine or connect them using O-rings. Prick two holes at the top of the image page and put some string through to give yourself something to hang the calendar with.

1. B Is For Blippi Poster

For kids who are learning the alphabet, B can stand for Blippi, and you can even make a poster about it. On construction paper, have the kids write B is for Blippi in block letters or have them cut the letters out of differently colored construction paper. Then have them choose a Blippi illustration and color in just the figure. They’ll cut him out and paste him onto the poster.
