10. Bookmarks
You can make bookmarks from my Miraculous Ladybug pictures in one of two ways. First, you’ll print off the figure you want to use onto cardstock, then color it in and cut it out. The cardstock is sturdy enough that you can just use the cut-out as your bookmark. Second, you can print out a main figure and any background items you want, color those in, and cut them out. Then, using roughly a 4×8 or 10-inch piece of construction paper or cardstock, paste the cut-outs onto the rectangle, arranged however you like. You can even add a bookmark “tail” at the top by punching a hole and tying off a bundle of yarn.
9. Masks
You can make cute Miraculous Ladybug masks from my pictures – all you have to do is isolate the face you want, copy and paste it into a word processor document, and then resize it. Change the size so that it’ll fit your kid’s face, then print it out and have them color it in. They’ll then cut it out and poke holes on either side; tie off a piece of string in each hole, long enough so that they can meet behind your kid’s head and be tied into a bow. Lastly, you’ll poke out two holes where the eyes are so that your child can see!
8. Keychains
You’ll print the figures you want to use onto the shrink sheets and have your kids color them in with markers. Then, they’ll cut them out and punch holes where they want the keychain hardware to attach. Bake per the instructions and let cool completely; once they’re ready, you can attach the keychain hardware and clip them onto wallets, purses, or even shoelaces!
7. Paper Dolls
You can turn my Miraculous Ladybug illustrations into adorable paper dolls that your kids will want to play with again and again. You’ll simply print out the figures you want to use onto cardstock, as it’s sturdier and can hold up the little hands better. Have your kids color in the figures and cut them out – that’s really it! You could also go more of a puppet route and glue extra-large crafting sticks to the back – it might be easier for smaller hands to grip.
6. Party Decorations
For your kid’s next birthday party, if they choose a Miraculous Ladybug theme, you don’t have to spend an arm and a leg on decorations. You can use my illustrations in many different ways, from cake and cupcake toppers to wall décor. Individual figures can be cut out and used as place settings or table centerpieces, or you can string them together to create bunting for the wall or over a doorway.
5. Party Invitations
Of course, no party can happen unless people are invited, and you can use my Miraculous Ladybug pictures to make super cute invitations. The easiest way I’ve found is to do it this way: Start by selecting all of the illustrations you want to use and copy/paste them into a word processor document. Resize the picture so that it’s a fourth of the page, and then stick it in the upper-left corner – upside down. You can also add text, like “You’re Invited” or “It’s a Birthday Party.” In the bottom right quadrant, you can put the party details, the where, when, etc., all right-side up. Print that off, and then you’ll fold the page in half so that the picture is facing outward; then fold it in half again so that the picture is on the “front page.”
4. Book Covers
To make book covers out of my Miraculous Ladybug pictures, you will copy and paste the illustration of choice onto a word processor doc that has been oriented to landscape. Resize the image and center it so that it’s on the right-hand side of the page, leaving about half-inch margins. Print that out and have your kids color it in, then face the illustration side down and place your book over it. You’re going to crease the page where the top and bottom of the book fall; set the book aside for a second and make folds all along the top and bottom of the page where the creases are. This will create flaps that you can then use to slip over the book’s existing cover!
3. Memory Boxes
To make memory boxes, you will need a shoe box or a memory box purchased from a craft store. If you’re using a shoe box, you will first cover the entire thing with white paper. Then, you’ll pick the figures you want to use, print them out, and have your kids color them in and cut them out. You can Mod Podge the figures to the box – the top or even the sides! – and let dry.
2. Phone Cases
You’ll need cheapie, clear phone cases for this craft, plus Mod Podge. You’ll print out the figure you want to use and have your kids color it in and cut it out. Then they’ll Mod Podge it to the inside of the phone case, with a colorful side facing outward. Wait for the Mod Podge to dry!
