If your child has colored lots of them, try these terrific crafts to use up all those pages.

1. Family Album

Have the youngsters color as many characters as they like and cut them out. Each one should be glued to a piece of construction paper and a date written at the bottom. A cover should be added to the stack of papers that says “Family Album.” Use a three-hole punch to make space for paper fasteners or even colorful pieces of yarn. When the pages are put together, the youngster has a fun makeshift “family album” of Monster High characters!

2. New Ghoul in School

To put a funny twist on this Monster High theme, why not give Frankie her own coffin to hide on her first day of school? Start by spray painting a small, rectangular-shaped cardboard box with gray craft paint. Use a magic marker to write “R.I.P.” on the lid. When Frankie is colored and cut out, she can be glued to the inside of the box and propped up and displayed for a funny Monster High decoration.

3. Fancy Figurine

Any of the Monster High characters work great for this craft. When the character is finished, the page should be sealed in contact paper, and the character should be carefully cut out. Wrap an empty shampoo bottle in construction paper and glue a row of cotton balls down the center. Then, glue the cutout to the cotton balls so that it stands out in 3D style.  Add an embellishment at the top, such as a plastic spider, a creepy craft eyeball, or a toy bat for a delightfully ghoulish figurine.

4. Add Flair to a Lunchbox

Since Monster High characters are typically in school, why not let them travel along in your youngster’s lunchbox? Decorating it is easy and begins with trimming the finished coloring pages to fit the box’s interior. Alternatively, the youngster can decorate the lunchbox lining decal style by cutting each character out individually. Krazy glue works best for this craft, and don’t forget to seal the final artwork in sheets of contact paper to keep it nice.

5. Swinging From The Moon

It’s a full moon at Monster High, and it’s time to put the characters’ long hair to good use.  To make this fun hanging ornament, color and cut out any of the characters that have ponytails.  Next, the youngster should trace a giant moon on white paper, making a small slit at the top.  When the character’s ponytail is put through the slit, it looks like she’s swinging from the moon with her hair! Add a layer of glitter and string, and hang this cute decoration up.

6. Make a Monster High Emblem

To make this innovative decoration, have the youngsters trace and cut out the Monster High logo. This is easy because the logo is simple. Colored pencils or markers are perfect for filling in the letters, and they can be embellished with puffy paint or glitter if desired. When three to four characters are colored and cut out, they can be glued around the edges of the emblem as if they are holding it up on display. This makes excellent wall art for the child’s room!

7. Monster High Paper Dolls

Monster High characters are fantastic for making unusual paper dolls. Have the youngsters color their favorite characters, gluing the pages to cardboard before cutting them out. Other pages can be colored to create outfits. Just make sure to leave small tabs of paper here and there so that the clothes can be folded around the dolls. Youngsters can have fun swapping the clothes and seeing what the characters look like in each other’s outfits!

8. Fun in the Bleachers

All kids sit in the bleachers in school, and youngsters can have fun making seats for their Monster High characters. Bleachers are easy to create by stapling colorful straws horizontally across a piece of poster board. The background can be decorated however the child desires. When the characters are colored and cut out, they can be placed in the slits behind the straws, making it look like they are packing the bleachers! Hang or frame this cute 3D art.

9. Make a Funny Passport

Children can use their favorite Monster High character to make a novelty passport. On blue cardstock, the youngsters can use gold puffy paint to write their name, the country they live in, and any other information for their “passport.” It should then be folded in half, and when the Monster High character is colored and cut out, it can be added to the inside as the passport photo!

10. Decorate a Bureau

Children have lots of fun decorating the space around their bureau with Monster High characters. Once they’re colored and cut out, seal them in contact paper, and with a Velcro kit or non-damaging wall putty, add them to the four corners of the mirror. If your youngster has colored lots of these characters, an entire row can be placed on the top of the mirror. Either way, it adds a fun, colorful touch to the room!
