10 Uses For Printable August 2025 Calendars
Here are 10 creative and fun ways that you can use any of the above calendars!
10. Band Camp Organizers
August is a very popular month for band camps, as college and high school marching bands ramp up for the football and, in some cases, competition season. If you’re a parent of a band student, you might find it helpful to keep track of camp with one of my August calendars. If you’re running the camp, you can create a tentative schedule, add details and notes to my calendar and then print it off for the group to keep in their binders.
9. Back-To-School Shopping Planners
Of course, August is when many students – and parents – start to think about the reality of heading back to school after the summer break. You can use my calendars to mark the date your student starts and plan from there when and where you’ll pick up supplies. If you have a college student, particularly a freshman, you’ll need many more items to ship them off with, including furnishings for their dorm, small appliances, etc. You can use the back of the calendar to make lists so you don’t forget a thing.
8. Farmer’s Market Planners
Did you know that the first week of August is actually National Farmer’s Market Week? Indeed, many vegetables are hitting their peak in August, so the farmer’s markets are going to be particularly ripe with good stuff. You can plan which ones you want to hit up for sure, as well as some “maybes,” using one of my August calendars. You could even note on the calendar if there’s a farmer’s market you particularly liked and want to attend again.
7. Late Summer/Early Fall Garden Organizers
If you’re a fall gardener, there is no time like August to start to get your seeds ready and to plot out which beds you’ll use. You can keep track of when you started your seeds, when you planted them, and more using my August calendar. You could also use the back to draw a rough sketch of your garden and plan which plants will go where.

August is also the month when school or college football training camps ramp up, with only a month or so left until the first game. You can keep track of your student athlete’s schedule using one of my calendars to mark down practice times, workouts, and any other activities, like a team breakfast.

Of course, the end of wedding season is approaching in August, so if you have a few weddings to attend during this month, you’re not alone. Plan out all the details for each in advance using one of my calendars, from date, time, and location, to when you can actually go shopping for an outfit and the gift.

For some colleges and universities, there is a last summer school session in August, just a week or two before the students come back for the fall semester. Particularly for freshmen, going to college can be earth-shaking, a surreal experience unlike any other. That’s why you could use one of my August calendars to keep track of the important events and activities (and keep it on you in your backpack or binder). Whether it’s freshman orientation, rush week, study sessions, or even your new class schedule, being mindful and organizing your intended activities can make a world of difference.
1. First Weeks Of School Planners (Grade School)
For teachers, establishing a set routine in the classroom can help everyone become acclimated to the new school year. That’s why I suggest using one of my August calendars to start students off on the right foot. Write into the calendar the main subjects you’ll be covering or the activities associated with them (e.g., spelling; cursive; the Revolutionary War; multiplication tables). This will take away some of the students’ – specifically younger students’ – anxiety at not knowing what to expect from each day.
